A Great First Step into Hockey
North SEERA’s U7 Timbits program is designed for young players ages 4 to 6. The focus is on fun, confidence, basic skating, early hockey skills, and helping players build a love for the game.

For brand new skaters and first-year players. One ice time per weekend.

For new-to-hockey players with some basic skating experience. One ice time per weekend.

Typically for age 6 players with hockey experience. Includes two ice times per weekend.

What to Expect
- The U7 season typically runs from early October to early March.
- Preseason skates are held in September to help place players appropriately.
- Players are assigned to small teams with coaches supporting each group.
- Teams within each U7 category may share the ice for practices or sessions.
- Midseason movement may occur to better align players with appropriate peer groups.
- The season may include TIMBITS Jamborees during the year.
Volunteering with U7
Coaches & Instructors
We are looking for positive, organized volunteers who enjoy working with young players and helping create a fun first hockey experience.

- Warm, enthusiastic, and caring
- Focused on fun and development
- Comfortable communicating with parents
Team Support Roles
U7 also needs team managers and other volunteers to help things run smoothly off the ice.
If you’re new to hockey, volunteering is a great way to meet families, stay involved, and support your child’s experience.

One parent or guardian from each family must complete the Respect in Sport – Parent program before registration can be finalized.
- Required for all players
- Valid for four seasons
- Takes approximately 1 hour to complete
